Last minute Eid gift ideas for under 5’s

If you’re anything like me, you’ll have left your Eid shopping a little late. While you might get away with it with hubby, there is no way the kids will let you off. But hey, rest assured that this quick, affordable and accessible last minute Eid gift ideas for under 5’s guide has you covered.

Bug hotel

We picked up this bug hotel for the princely sum of £5 from Wilko. Hannah was inspired to buy a bug hotel after watching an episode of JoJo and Gran Gran.

The bug hotel makes for a cheap Eid gift for kids that’s also low maintenance, and it’s great to encourage kids to get outdoors and exploring.

So far, our little hotel has attracted some small spiders (not my favourite), And a couple of woodlice. My little ones are loving seeing what’s out in the garden and what guests they have at the hotel.

Pop Up People Wizard

So Hannah is at that age where she’s starting to be afraid of the dark. She conjures up monsters in her mind, and is scared of shadows. That’s where the Pop Up People Wizard has been a dream.

At about 132 cm tall the pop-up people certainly make a big impact. It can be shrunk down to toddler-height and pulled up to be a protective friend. The soft fabric character hold a little blackboard on which small messages can be written, such as the name of your child, welcome, or any message that you like.

Hannah’s Pop Up Wizard stands like a doorman in her room, protecting her while she dreams. She loves this idea of having a little bodyguard as she’s seen in so many programmes where the princess has a knight, so it’s really helped her feel secure.

You can get the Pop up wizard here.

Musical hop out Mizzie the Kangaroo

Mizzie the kangaroo

For the toddler in your life, how about a classic and fun developmental toy with learning benefits? This twist on the ‘Jack in the box’ is great fun as it encourages your toddler to learn to turn the lever, listen to the music and wait for the pop! It’s designed to increase fine motor skills, teach children cause and effect and encourage curiosity and discovery. What’s more, it’s an adorable Eid gift.

Musical hop out Mizzie the Kangaroo is £25.

Flamboya wind spinners

As we spend more and more time in our new garden, we’re always looking at ways to decorate our space. And these cute wind spinners do the trick.

Hubby bought these Flamboya wind spinners from B&Q, and their eye-catching designs create a stunning holographic effect when they spins.

Both the Flamboya unicorn and Flamboya butterfly spinners are £16 each.

Okay, so technically not for under 5’s (these books are 7+), but I couldn’t resist including them.  How fab is this Shakespeare’s Stories collection. It’s a great way of making literature accessible to children.
