Wunder2 Go Beyond Foundation review for brown skin?

In my ongoing quest to solve the greatest mystery of our time – how to find a great foundation for brown skin, I present to you a review of Wunder2 Go Beyond Foundation, which offers only five shades, Supposedly eliminating room for error. But does it pass the brown girl skin test? is the foundation adaptable enough for Asian skintones?

My guest writer, Kulsuma, reviews Wunder2GoBeypnd Foundation to find out…

I was looking for a new foundation which offered light to medium coverage and could give me a quick fuss-free application, but because of lockdown and being unable to get to the stores to try on different shades, finding the correct undertones, etc. was a challenge.

So it was great for ‘Wunder2 Go Beyond Foundation’ to take the guesswork out in selecting the perfect shade for me. As they only have 5 adaptable shades across the spectrum ‘Light, Light-medium, Medium, Tan and Deep’ it was fairly easy to guess my shade.

They are all very forgiving and the Wunder2 Foundation shades are adaptable to all undertones which was the selling point for me.

I opted for the second shade ‘Light-medium’ as I have light medium olive skin with slightly pink undertones.  For reference I normally wear Bobbi Brown in shade Warm Beige or Natural and in Mac MC35.

I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the foundation. I like the compact it’s portable and easy to carry around for quick touch ups on the go if needed, and a handy mirror is a great addition too. Plus there is none of the mess associated with a liquid foundation. A few swipes of a kabuki brush over my complexion and I was ready to get on with my day.

The coverage was very good. It gave me a light/medium finish which is perfect for me, I could build up the coverage by applying further layers but I was happy with a quick sweep. It’s so simple and quick to apply, no setting powder needed. It’s also freckle friendly which I like.

I’m not a fan of thick heavy full coverage foundation as I like my skin to look like skin. I couldn’t feel this on my face which is a thumbs up.

Longevity was also surprisingly good I applied foundation 10AM and at 4:00AM on checking it was still going strong.

Top tips when wearing Wunder2 Go Beyond Foundation

I would recommend moisturising well beforehand if your skin is dehydrated like mine as the nature of a powder foundation is that it can be a little drying on the face with the potential to catch on dry patches. Therefore a good moisturiser and primer are essentials for fellow dry skins, however if you have an oily skin it should be absolutely fine.

This foundation allows a really quick application which is especially brilliant for busy mums like me who want a little confident boost in their skin, giving light coverage and to be ready to be out of the door to do the school run or pop to the shops.

My overall thoughts on this Wunder2 Go Beyond Foundation review is that it is a very simple fool proof foundation which takes out the guess work of undertones, one I would happily recommend for those who are after a fuss free foundation which is effortless.
