Aviela Pure Shea Butter for dry skin

December 5, 2023

Aviela Pure Shea Butter and Shea Lotion are fantastic additions to my winter skin care routine.

As a dry skin sufferer who’s constantly looking for products to keep my skin moisturised throughout the whole day without the need to reapply, I was happy to review skincare brand Aviela, which uses 100% pure, unrefined natural ingredients in all its products.

Aviela 100% Pure Shea Butter

The first thing which I was amazed with was how light the Aviela Shea Butter was, despite it being a butter. It is whipped to a light and airy texture, helping it melt smoothly into my skin. It contains no additional fragrance which is good for sensitive skin sufferers. This product is rich in fatty acids vitamins A and E alongside natural soothing properties to help deliver intense hydration, working hard to alleviate dryness and calm irritated skin. Interestingly it can also be used to revive dry, damaged hair.

I often find, after showering, my skin feels aggravated and parched. I like to apply the body butter when my skin is slightly damp as I find any products I use just sink straight in. The texture is balm like, which melts effortlessly with the warmth if my hands. It’s not greasy or tacky at all. This body butter delivers 24hr moisture for me and even under thick tights my skin feels silk-like.

Aviela Shea Body Lotion

The Shea Body Lotion is slightly lighter in texture and contains a blend of natural cocoa butter, sunflower seed oil, sweet almond oil and baobab oil, which deeply nourish and moisturise the skin, whilst providing a smooth, soft layer of protection against dehydration. It also contains

fatty acids vitamin A, D, E and F. This light, creamy lotion absorbs quickly, leaving the skin feeling healthy and beautifully soft and supple. I like to use the lotion when I am in a hurry to get dressed and out the door in the mornings. Whereas in the evening, when I have a little more time, like to apply the body butter.

Overall, Aviela worked for my skin type, giving my dry, parched skin some much needed TLC for winter.
