Balmonds for dry skin- upping my winter skin care routine

November 21, 2023

I’ve already raved about Balmonds, and how it’s helped my daughter’s eczema. So thought it would be good to try this brand on another skin type.

This article was written by my writer, Kulsuma, who shares her review of Balmond’s skincare.

I suffer from extremely dry skin and it is especially noticeable during these winter months. I struggle to keep my skin hydrated and soft so I am forever looking for a skin care routine that’s easy to use whilst being cost effective. So I was excited to try Balmonds, which prides itself using all natural ingredients.

The products I used were the Daily Moisturising Cream and the Intensive Facial Oil plus their wonderful Skin SalvationBalm.

I do love to use a facial oil in my skincare routine because I find as I get older my skin does need the extra boost of moisture that many moisturisers alone don’t provide.

What Balmonds says it does

Balmonds Intensive facial oil is 100% natural containing super nutritious oils made with a sensorial blend of rosehip, lavender, palmarosa, calendula and Roman chamomile.

Balmonds intensive facial oil claims to be rich in wonderfully regenerative rosehip oil, which contains all the vitamins, antioxidants and essential fatty acids needed to soften hydrate and nourish the delicate skin on the face.

What I though of Balmonds skincare

Firstly, the Balmonds Intensive facial oil smells divine. l applied just three drops on my face (on damp skin) and I could see my skin drink up the moisture as it immediately sunk in. It didn’t feel greasy or sticky at all. I used this in conjunction with the Balmonds facial moisturiser to lock in the moisture as the active ingredients got to work while I slept. In the morning, my face felt rejuvenated, hydrated and smooth.

I’ve been using Balmonds facial oil for couple of weeks now to give it a fair trial before I review and I am very impressed with this intensive facial oil I will definitely be maintaining that in my skin care routine from now on.

The daily moisturising cream is 99% natural and contains hemp and Shea. Presented in a hygienic pump dispenser, just one pump covers the whole face. It works great with the facial oil. I’m very pleased with these products and will religiously use them over the winter months.

Balmonds Skin Salvation

Balmonds skin salvation is an intensive ointment to nourish, protect and moisturise dry skin. It is also suitable for people who may be prone to eczema.

I found that you only need a small amount on dry skin and it melts beautiful with the warmth of your fingers tips and leaves a lovely, velvety finish. I found this to be particularly good on stubborn dry patches on my body. I would use it on my hands, paying attention to my knuckles and cuticles. I imagine this would be perfect for people who get dry cracked hands and feet during the winter months. Pop on a pair of gloves or socks to really seal in the moisture. My skin felt so soft after using this. I used this on dry patches on my palms and just one application softened them up. All in all I’m very impressed with the Balmonds range. They’re definitely a must have for dry skin particularly in the winter months.
