Christmas gift ideas for her

December 11, 2017

This year’s Christmas gift ideas guide is a bit special, because I’ve not just got suggestions for him and her, there’s some cute ideas for babies and little ones too.

So starting with, well, you of course! From luxe jewellery to preserves, skincare and more, here’s my Christmas gift ideas for her…

Christmas gift ideas for her

Bonne Maman Preserves

Bonne Mamon Salted caramel spread

For an easy, tasty (but rather heavy) stocking filler or Secret Santa, these spreadables are great.

The salted caramel is especially lush and will liven up your sourdough bread a treat.

The Bonne Maman preserves are available at most large supermarkets.

Skin Shop’s Boswellia and Commiphora

Skin shops bosiwella and commiphora cream

‘Tis soon the season to be jolly, but if you know someone who suffers with joint problems, the colder weather also spells an increase in pain and stiffness.

Two traditional Christmas spices, Boswellia and Commiphora, better known as Frankincense and Myrrh, have been found in Indian, Chinese and more recently UK trials, to help ease the discomfort of painful joints.

And now these lovely medicinal spices are available in a topical cream with the Skin Shop’s Boswellia and Commiphora.

So if you know someone who has achy joints in the cold weather, warm up their winter with this cream.

Skin Shop’s Boswellia and Commiphora costs £9.95 and is available at the

Stitch and story knitting kits

Stitch and Story wool and bobble kit

Since welcoming Hannah into the world, I really like the idea of hand knitted items that have been made with love.

Unfortunately I can’t knit to save my life (when I was in school textiles didn’t have knitting on their curriculum).

So if you’re cack handed like me, help is at hand with Stitch and Story, who make perfect little kits to help novice knitters.

They are all about reviving the age-old art of knitting, and I managed to get a little demo whilst at a Christmas in July press event. You can see the action on my instagram here.

Stitch and Story do fab little starter kits to make individual items from hats to scarves and blankets. So you can knit a cardi for a loved one this Christmas. You can see their range here.

Sif Jakobs ear cuff

Sif Jakobs ear cuff

To be on point, how about this cool ear cuff from Sif Jakobs? It’s cubic zirconia set in rose gold plated sterling silver. And it’s sure to set off any festive look a treat.

Tiffany’s Heart tag and key pendant necklace

Tiffany and Co heart and key tag

There’s just something about that blue box, isn’t there?

Now I’m a classic Tiffany’s fan. Yes, they have lots of nice statement pieces but I like my Tiffany’s simple. Preferably with the ‘Please return to Tiffany’s’ engraving as a focal point (classy not me). If you’re into the simple Tiffany’s, you’re a girl after my own heart. And you can get this cute heart pendant and chain for Christmas. In fact, stick it on your wish list.

The Tiffany’s Heart tag and key pendant costs £165 from Tiffany and Co.

Chupi ‘We are all made of stars’ star sign necklace

Chupi star sign necklace

Former Topshop designer Chupi Sweetman makes the cutest, most delicate jewellery. All crafted by hand, each piece has its own quirk and has a great story. One of her pendants, the ‘We are all made of stars’ piece has been trending on Instagram. I was lucky enough to meet Chupi, and she created a personalised pendant with my star sign on one side, and hubby and my initials – H & M (not to be confused with the clothes store) on the other.

It was so nice to see real craftsmanship, and Chupi’s range is rustic and close to nature, with twig-shaped gold rings and grey frosted diamonds to boot. You can see a clip from Chupi’s workshop here.

The Chupi ‘We are all made of stars necklace in gold costs 149 Euros and is available from

Experiences with offer experience day packages, where you can pick a theme, such as afternoon tea or hotel stays, and the recipient can choose from hundreds of options within the theme. This is much less restrictive than traditional experience days.

When I bought hubby’s Virgin Experience day, I had to make the agonizing choice between an Aston Martin and Ferrari driving day. I picked the former, and just had to hope he liked it (luckily he did).

However with Buyagift, bad present choices are reduced, as you don’t have to pick a specific experience.

You can buy a gift here.

Sonic Chic Urban travel toothbrush

Sonic Chic Travel Toothbrush

There’s a reason that there was a to programme called ‘Don’t forget your toothbrush’. It’s because it happens all the bloody time. However you needn’t get caught out again if you keep this fab travel toothbrush in your weekend bag.

And it ain’t no downgrade from your usual electric toothbrush. This toothbrush boasts 22,000 strokes per minute. It’s battery operated, and it comes with a replaceable head. So totally not disposable, and a great stocking filler for her.

You can get the Sonic Chic Urban Travel toothbrush from Amazon.

Tiana Organics hair oil treatment

Tiana Organic coconut oil intensive hair treatment

Give the gift of good hair this Christmas. If you’ve read my hair blog posts you’ll know I’m a mahoosive fan of coconut oil as a hair treatment. In fact I was using it waaay before if became a thing (insert smug face).

But now that it’s all the range you can get your mitts on some amazing coconut oil products.

This TIANA Argan Fresh Coconut TLC Intensive Hair Treatment is the perfect case in point. It ticks all the boxes – organic, luxe, intensive and deeply moisturising. In short, too good not to gift. Plus it’s the only beauty product to combine organic coconut oils and Argan oil together.

And if that’s wasn’t enough, it’s fair trade. Do you can gift with a happy conscience this Christmas.

Its handy size makes it the perfect sticking filler or Secret Santa, so check it out now on Amazon.

Purepotions Skin Salvation skincare

Pure Potions skin salvation cream, cleansing oil and facial oil

Not to sound pretentious, but I’m all about the natural ingredients when it comes to skincare. And if it’s organic, all the better. If you’re of the same ilk, Pure Potions is just the ticket. Pure Potions is lovingly created by a mum who found that traditional products were irritating her daughter’s delicate skin. So after creating her own products, having a stint on Dragon’s Den, and to being awarded Best Eczema Range 2017 by Natural Health International Beauty Awards, Pure Potions has gone from strength to strength.

The products are free of parabens, microplastics or SLS. I’m currently using them right now as they are helping me get out of my postnatal skin funk.

You can get Pure Potions Skin Salvation from Amazon.
