Easiest black cut-crease video tutorial using just eyeliner

January 4, 2015
So as you may have gathered, I’m not, nor have ever claimed to be, a makeup artist or beauty expert.  In fact, far from it, I’m a little cack-handed when it comes to creating a makeup look.
However, that was the purpose of starting this blog, to learn how to master the art of fuss-free makeup that anyone – including me – can do.
And to ring in the New Year, here is another humble offering from me, this time in the form of a ridiculously easy smokey eye look which requires minimal product.
Black smokey eye with a cut crease

See, I’ve always been daunted my some of the makeup mastery I’ve seen on YouTube.  Some are works of art, but you need a good half hour and two dozen products to create the look for yourself.  So I’ve always preferred to keep it simple, and this look promises just that. It takes minutes to do, and the Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner doubles up as the smokey eyeshadow.  Genius right?

Also, this technique lends itself to a variety of colour combos.  Brown and gold would work well.  As would a moss green with a rustic yellow.  Once you’ve got the hang of the technique, it opens up a whole world of options.
So enjoy my tutorial, and sorry about the cut in between, I had to run and charge the camera.
The products I use are:
Bellapierre eyeshadow base
Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner
Dainty Doll eyeshadow in 001
Collection smokey eyeshadow (beige shade)
