Pegasus beauty showcase – where beautiful brands met under one roof

I was recently invited to a fab event held by Pegasus – a team of lovely beauty PRs.  The event showcased some of their most famous brands – HoMedics, Collection, Holland and Barrett, Trilogy and Manuka Doctor.

I’ve been to a few beauty events now and this was by far the best J.  Not only were their brand experts on hand to talk me through the products, but masseuses, beauticians and nail technicians were on hand too.

The event was held at One Maylebone, a stunning converted church which now lends itself as a wedding, party or exhibition venue.  It was the perfect showcase for the brands.

I learned how Steam Cream is produced (and saw it’s plethora of natural ingredients), de-stressed on a Homedics massage chair and even had a lovely facial courtesy of skilled beauticians and the Manuka Doctor stand.

I also got to grips with some exciting new product launches from many of the brands (reviews to come soon).   My vote for the prettiest stand would go to the gothic glam beauty of Collection…

The most interesting stand was HoMedics, mainly because I’m intrigued by a bit of gadgetry.  I’m currently eyeballing their new Elle McPherson electric rotating body brush…

Finally, the most random product was Viviscal Hair Filler Fibers, which is essentially a static talcum-powder style product which you dust into the scalp so it sticks to your hair and provides volume.  It reminded me a bit of dry shampoo, something I struggle with as I hate the feeling of ‘something’ in my hair. As it was trialled on my arm, it just looked weird…

Anyway, I now have an army of products to review, which will no doubt keep me busy for a while.  As
always, I’ll report back on the good, the bad and the downright beautiful.
